Lisbon | Portugal

Have you ever stepped foot into a new spot & instantly knew you’d be back? That’s exactly how we felt about Lisbon without ever having to say a word about it to each other. Our only regret is not having more time in the city & Portugal itself. It’s one of the least visited European cities & we have no idea why as it was named a “Best in Travel” by Lonely Planet. Its under the radar status allows more freedom in adventuring out & exploring the city as it is vs. what increases in tourism will make it.

Delhi & Agra | India

Delhi & Agra | India

Two cities that are basically required when one travels to India, the first for need & the latter for want. Neither city is one we’d suggest with any eagerness but more the shrugged “yeah you have to do it”.  Luckily, neither require your attention for very long & it’s incredibly easy to bounce back & forth between the two.

Andaman Islands | India

Andaman Islands | India

“The Caribbean of the Bay of Bengal”, “an undiscovered gem of India”, one of the “hottest spots to watch”. The Andaman Islands are easily one of the top islands we’ve ever been to & we like islands a lot, so that’s saying something. Their exotic nature & lack of history in heavy tourism make them incredibly remote, under developed (for now), & boast some of the best beaches in Asia.

Chitwan | Nepal

In the evening sunlight, elephants lazily bathed themselves in the river as huge white dandelion-like clusters fell like snowflakes from the silk cotton trees above. It felt worlds apart from how we had arrived at our destination….

Annapurna Sanctuary | Nepal

Ah trekking, Ben is either a glutton for punishment or the best husband in the world. Or both. Even after all his exhaustive adventures in Langtang, he was willing (& excited) to head back out onto the treks & show me around Nepal. Don’t worry, he made sure to fit in a restorative beach trip in Goa between the mighty mountain conquering, but it was still no easy feat. Not that I had been laying around eating bonbons for weeks mind you, I am pretty sure when my yoga masters advised us to take a week or two off to rest the body, a 7-day mountain trek was not what they had in mind. Nevertheless, we were off again!

Rishikesh | India

Rishikesh | India

Hey there, its Rachelle & I am back from my month-long yoga hiatus

At first, I should be honest & admit I was feeling apprehensive about spending a month in Rishikesh – especially on my own. To help set context, I had traveled to India 5 years earlier during grad school & the experience had only been so-so. Ending on a rough note, I don’t think you could have told me then I would be back to India, much less hangout for a month amongst the Himalayan foothills. But back I was, about to embark on what would be one of the most incredible experiences of my life & would ensure Rishikesh always had a special place in my heart.
